Aspiring Deputies Programme
This is for those Senior Leaders who are aspiring to their first Deputy headship and are looking to secure post within 18 months of the course.For leaders who aspire to Deputy Headship -
Applicants should have proven leadership skills and be ready to assume the role of Deputy Headship within a year of the programme.
This is a two day programme that will consider the wide range of knowledge and skills needed to be a successful Deputy Head, identifying areas of personal development and strategies to achieve them.
An additional key element of the 'face to face' days will be to develop strategic thinking for school leadership including vision and values along with using key aspects of the learning agenda to raise standards and address underachievement. There will be a specific session on applying for Deputy Headship on Day One.
It is an expectation that all participant's will complete a one day internship in another participant's school.
